When looking at implementing router phones for clients, I notice that 3CX supplies a list of possible router phones to use here https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/ip-phones/ and here https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/ but nowhere is there any suggestion or recommendation as to how many phones can be supported by each of these router phones. The note is made 'Some models can work as router phones for a limited number of phones' but no indication is given as to what the limitations are, or where to go to find out.
Are there any guides anywhere that can be referenced for this?

I know it’s been posted in the forum many times that their limit is 10 per router phone.

Hi,

It should also be pointed out that how busy a site is with calls and how many BLF buttons are set on each phone also factor towards the load to the SBC.

For busy sites or sites where each phone has many BLFs it might be best to have less IP Phones per router phone, or consider a dedicated SBC install.

Best,
KS.
