Recording Notifications

Is there a way to get notified some way that recording was turned on in the audio stream?

What about after the fact, that a recording was turned on\off?

Hi Mike,

Who should be notified? 3CX doesn't log when a recording was paused or manually stopped. If you need to notify someone that a call is/was recorded you would need to add some additional code. You would need a service that monitors calls and checks whether the call is being recorded.

Our 3CX Recording Beep plays an innocuous "beep" every 15 seconds when a call is being recorded. This notifies the callers when a call is being recorded. If additional logging is needed, we could add that feature.

My thought is for internal calls when recording is off by default and when someone turns it on, an alert to the people in the call.

That's what the "beep" does, but it is just a wav file, so I suppose you could replace the "beep" with a message that says "your call is being recorded" or whatever you want.
