Searching for guidance on recording new/replacement vm remotely using the browser interface.

Under Settings -> Greetings, clicking the "Recored Greeting" button.
1. Prompted for an Audio File Name
2. Dialer calls (using chrome extension) with "Record File". Complete recording and end call.
3. In the dahsboard, receiving "Call or Registration to RecordFile@([email protected]) has failed."

User has also attempted to record a Wav file and upload but not working. Haven't had a chance to check the recording.

v. 16.0.504

Are they hanging up when done or following the directions to press a button? (forget if it's * or # offhand) If they don't approve/save the recording I don't think it's saved.

I don't seem to have to option to send a key at the end of the recording. There are no prompts, just an incoming call with Answer or Hangup icons.

Thanks,
Mark

That's weird the Keypad button should be visible while you're in a call.

Hello @mhuber,

Can you please verify on your WebClient that the selected device is the "Browser Extension".

When those buttons are not activated on Browser Extension then it means that the selected device on WebClient is different than "Browser Extension"

Hi - thanks for the response. I disabled the Chrome extension. This is the interface I'm presented with when I click to record a message. Should there be prompts to record the message? I just click Answer, record a message and End the call. Don't see any recording file in the dropdowns. The keypad icon doesn't seem to be enabled.

My last few attempts are showing the following in the Log file:
04/24/2020 10:00:36 AM - [CM503003]: Call(C:126): Call to <sip:[email protected]:0> has failed; Cause: 487 Request Terminated/INVITE from 127.0.0.1:5063

Should there be prompts to record the message

When you answer the call it should say to you, "Record your message, then press pound."

You mentioned you disabled the Chrome extension but didn't specifically say if it or the web client was selected as the default device (upper right in the web client). For example do you have a desk phone or smartphone app selected?

this is web client only, no associated desk phone

You should have the keypad button active while in a call. Try calling *777 or another extension and see if it is active then.

Thanks. No, the keypad isn't active during the call. I just called an outside line from the web client and I'm not hearing anything on the computer. Don't recall that being an issue before.
