Hi All,

My company has a requirement that our recordings remain on the server for ease of access (i.e. not archived) but daily download the previous day's calls so they are stored in secure storage in the cloud. For 4 of the 6 PBX's I manage this is fine as their call quantities are not high, but I have 2 who make thousands of calls a day (that's recordings). So to download them daily means manually doing so, no big issue until it comes down to when you list Yesterday's calls and to select them for download because a very laborious job as only 25 records are displayed per page.

I've searched parameters, settings, the forum for a solution to increase the amount of recordings displayed per page but hit a wall. Is there such a function or setting, or even hack on the server itself, where I can change this from 25 to 100 or more?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind regards
John

Why not just log onto the machine and automate this process with a script to copy them via SSH?

That way you wouldn't even need to log in to each PBX and do this manually.

Also, archived recordings are still accessible in the web client for you to download and play them back.

Archiving doesnt mean they are inaccessible. It just means that they arent taking up space on the server, but they cannot be played back via the phone. That the only limitation. The PBX can only playback what it hosts locally, but they are still downloadable.

Thanks for the response. SSH is not the desired outcome.

The question refers to rows of recordings on display, not about archiving. Is that possible to amend please?

Use the API.

Or DM us, we have an exporter tool for both recordings and call logs.

What you want at the end of the day is to get your recordings from the server and put them onto a secure storage. Why not just go and define that storage as your archive?

The process is there, native, out of the box. And your agents will still see the recordings in the web client, and be able to search them as well.

No, sorry but that's not quite so.
Our agents are not allowed to hear/download recordings due to Director policy. I see everything is there but our situation is a bit 'confuddled' to say the least LOL.
All I would like to do is be able to list more call recordings per page on the recordings page rather than the 25 limit.

I should add, that if we archive then the limited personnel who can access call recordings then cannot. Mind you, until now I was not aware that they are available in web client, that's a new one.

I meant to me, sorry.
So back to the original question, is it possible or not please?

Feature requests are only taken via the Ideas category of the forum. This is available to premium partners of 3CX however.

Requests in the ideas forum however do not guarantee an implementation however.

No worries, I appreciate the input Nicholas. I'll have a look at your suggestions and solutions, it may well be the answer and I'm never averse to an easier way of doing things. Have a good one!

Right now you are pursuing a very tedious manual process. As others have suggested, there are ways to simply copy the files. Asking for UI changes in 3CX is not something you can count on happening quickly, although they do listen to requests.

I think your real solution is to eliminate the manual download process entirely. One option is our 3CX Recording Manager. We make it simple to keep recordings on the 3CX AND archive at the same time (archives happen immediately). Further, we provide separate retention policies for the original recording and the archives. So you may, for example, want to keep recordings on the 3CX server for a month or two, and keep archives for a year or two (or more).

Also, you have a lot more control over who can see, listen, email, download, and use AI to analyze the recordings with our tool. One of the current challenges is allowing quality assurance people to review recordings in departments that they do not necessarily belong. With our tool, you specify who has access to specific departments and recordings. And another bonus, you do not need to give anyone access to the 3CX console since we provide a separate web interface.

I think we can solve a lot of your pain points.
