Register handsets with SNOM M900. Where to find the auth id and auth password in 3CX V20?

i have setup a new test Snom m900.
Completely resetted the devide.

No issue at all.
Working directly without a sbc, but with the certificates.
Not sure how it worked all these years before V20, looks like (as mentioned) above we did do manually all the time.

The only thing is. our sites are still giving the error.
I am sure i did the exact same as i did with the test setup.
Certificates are loaded.

Can it be that somewhere there is some old config in the devices bothering?

I see:
RPS request for 000413B61D51 IP Phone of FXS delivered successfully
In the 3CX logs arriving
When first setting up.

After that the error of nog able to load the config appears in the SNOM logs....

Do we need to factor default the devices?
If so.... it will give me some travelling to do :D

I thought you already factory reset it from the web UI. Yes, RPS provisioning happens only when the device is reset.

If you have access to good networking equipment, you can also mirror the port of the Snom and see whether it gets a DNS reply and tries to connect to the 3CX IP address. So far it does not seem to do so but we are speculating.

Also my firmware is 6.50, I had some issues with the newer firmware after that and would not recommend it for now. If your is older or newer than that I'm not sure how it will behave.

ok thanks. I will downgrade to 6.50.
Other thing, the test SNOM setup which was working correctly.
I did a factory reset via gui and physical, but somehow the provisioning url is still on there :D

Any tips?

RPS is not deleted - it will stay there for 2 weeks, or will be updated if you make a new entry. So thats where its getting it from.

Little sum up here.
So setup a test SNOM M900 after factory defaults in our main office network.
Works without sbc and with sbc. RPS says hi, and picks up the config file.

So when i do the same on our remote site which has internet and is interconnected via ipsec vpn (resetted the SNOM M900 via gui) it still says when connected via sbc of without: RemCfg: Error loading file.

Config is downloadable, nothing is blocked by firewall.

Beats me at the moment... i think i need weekend :D

Maybe take the Snom home and plug it in there and try your luck.

That way you can be sure its something to do with the remote site not letting the config download happen.

Or show Snom Support your logs and maybe they can help out.

Small update:
From home no issue (DHCP), like my test setup in head office.
Went to one of our sites to do some tests.
We have a client vlan (dhcp capable), a network vlan, a voice vlan and a printer vlan.
When putting in voice vlan with static ip --> not working
When putting in client vlan DHCP --> working with no problem.
When putting in client vlan with static ip --> not working.

Every time i put in the static ip in the SNOM M900 i get the error of not loading config and slow dns.
Seems like a bug in the device.

Hi Niels,

Ok that pretty much settles it, the provisioning from the 3CX end is not an issue.

Whatever the root cause, it seems to be related to either the M900 itself and/or the network its plugged into.

You might want to open a case with Snom Support now so they can help troubleshoot, and possibly provide a future fix if it turns out to be a device issue.
