Greetings,

As some 3CX users have already reported, the option to archive calls 'immediately' is no longer available in the Update 3 release of 3CX. (This represents a big problem for our company). If anyone knows why this feature was removed, I'd be interested in knowing the reasons...

We leverage a 3rd party call-management system (Call Cabinet) and we would like to be able to archive our calls as soon as possible. (e.g. exactly how it was working with the Release 2 build and earlier of 3CX).

I know that we can log into 3CX and manually move all of our calls to our archive, however, this is not a viable workaround for us, I would like something a little more automated that runs (ideally) more than once a day.

I'd be interested in knowing whether or not it would be possible to create a script that ran every so often (e.g. every 5 or 10 minutes) to move these calls over to our archive server?. As mentioned already, we just need something in place that allows us to archive our calls more frequently t than once a day.

PS - We host our own on-prem 3CX, Linux, VM, running atop Hyper-V core 2019.

The archiving immediately was tied to the limitation of the Google transcription where to have your recordings transcribed they needed to be archived to Google immediately. This is no longer needed as the transcription is done independently now.

And also, the PBX does not need to maintain a constant connection to the archive server. This could cause delays in the disk IO ops.

You may want to take a look at our 3CX Recording Manager tool (now with integrated AI features). We archive recordings the second the call is finished. We continue to support recording compression (about 1/4 the original size), and we also have separate retention policies for the original and archived recordings.

You may also want to look at our new AI capability to ask any question about your recordings using OpenAI, and support for automated agent scoring all using AI.

Thank you Matthew - we came across this yesterday afternoon; based on the recent changes w/3CX, it seems like this solution could be the best option moving forward. We already run/use the VoIP tools competitive wallboard and monitor services so this should fit in nicely.

The good news is that because we offer our entire suite for one price, you already own Recording Manager. Reach out to the support team and they will get it setup for you today.

will do, thank you for your help!
