After reading about Telnyx being removed from the supported provider list I went to check it out and noticed Net2phone is gone. Are they gone for good as well?

If so no big deal as I'll use the generic template when fully removed but wanted to check.

Hi!

Yes, Net2Phone has been removed. You should still see it on on-premise installations that are on V18 U3, but in U4 the template won't be there.

When the template is removed will I need to re-add as generic or should it keep working for existing setups? I ask as we were selling Net2Phone through our master agent and have several still in contract.

EDIT: Also, will hosted by 3CX instances that have it keep working since I can't use generic templates for those?

All existing installations will work as they are now. There will be no need to re-add them.

The removal of a template will only affects new installations. The templates are used to configure a SIP Trunk with the correct settings. Once a SIP trunk is configured its not affected by template changes.

You can also "Export Provider" and use that template when adding it to new systems. This way, you technically use the official configuration.

Thanks, I didn't think about that and will do now. Still much easier to get trunks working on 3CX than other platforms we have used.

It is, until they remove them for other reasons than incompatibility. Anywho.
