We are using IP based authentication which requires us to prepend a tech prefix to all our outbound calls (e.g 12312312*1) - Outbound call reports would show us as calling 12312312*1202-324-3000 for example (Using the FBIs press office number for humor)

Is there a way to format the outbound call report so that it strips off the 12312312* at the start?

Quick update - I still havent found a way around this, and it also shows up on individual clients, meaning we cant re-dial by clicking in the client anymore and it shows up as the tech prefix plus the dialed number in the reception view / call monitor . Queue view... . Any assistance would be greatly appreciated .

there must be a way to add the call prefix and not have it display in all these places

Hello @McGr

Please note that this is how the system is designed to work as the call log will display the number that was actually dialled. IP phones will display the number dialled by the user as they are not aware what was prepended by the PBX however 3CX clients will display the same number as the management console.
For reports you could use CDR and format out the prefix. You could also create a feature request on https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.

Thanks! Will definitely make the suggestion as in its current state this completely and totally rules out using Flowroutes IP based authentication system
