Requirements for using 3CX softphones in both Android and IOS phones for making calls

anyone can provide details requirements and information for using 3CX softphones in both Android and IOS versions? Also customers want to make calls both local and outside calls using 3CX softphones. The problem is that when users make calls from 3CX softphones to each other, they have to change External PBX IP (Domain Name) to public IP in 3CX softphones’ server setting and it seems that DNS which is announced in 3CX server is not binding Public IP. So we like to know is there any other configuration we need to do or modify in 3CX Server? Or can you suggest any solution for that issue?

Do you maybe face this problem when the users are in the office WiFi? Does it also happen if both users are on 4G or does it work fine without needing domain change?

Hi JohnS_3CX,
users want to use both office wifi and outside network (4G) for making calls using 3cx softphones each others. But now customers need to change External Public IP (Domain Name) to Public IP in 3cx softphone' server setting whenever they are making calls for both using office wifi and using 4G.

Please check to where your FQDN resolves with command:

nslookup yourFQDN 8.8.8.8

It should resolve to your public IP behind which you have the PBX.
