Buongiorno,

Grazie, attendo vostre indicazioni.

Cordiali saluti,
Federico

Good morning,

I have an internal server in the company where 3CX (version 20) is installed. Due to internal updates we are currently carrying out, 3CX currently works only through the internal network IP.

A few days ago, after an update, I encountered an issue while trying to access the management screen (using the Administrator account): I am prompted to complete two-factor authentication. I scanned the QR code and tried logging in with the PIN generated by the app, but it doesn’t allow access.

Is there a way to disable two-factor authentication and access as an Administrator?

Thank you, I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,
Federico

If the time of 3cx isnt correct that is what happened. Can you check the time of the machine?

If the machine's time is different from the Italian one, will it ask for 2FA?

It will always ask... The time need to be accurate. You 2fa device and the pbx

I'll check, and if that's not the issue, I'll write to you.
I mainly thought it was because it doesn't connect to the domain, but since it currently only works through the internal network IP, it might be causing problems for that reason.

Thank you so much,
Federico

I also had a 2FA issue since a few days ago, your thread helped me solve it.

It actually came from the fact that the PBX was a few minutes late. 2FA can't work in this case.

It seems there's no NTP service on the debian that hosts the PBX, maybe it would be a good thing to add in the near future?

In most cases this is the problem if 2fa isnt working. NTP isnt installed on 3cx, but you can und should install it to avoid such problems.
