Hello. I am moving my installs from OVH to Lightsail due to continuing issues with OVH. My plan is to do a backup, late night shutdown of the OVH VPS, install of 3CX on lightsail, and restore the backup. At least this is how I've done it in the past.

I've noticed that the manual linux install instructions are no more and the only way to install on Lightsail seems to be using the PBXExpress method. I tested that and it installs fine to Lightsail, but it installs as a new install. It never gives me the option to restore a backup.

What am I missing? What's the supported method to restore a backup to Lightsail?

Not missing a thing. Once deployed you have to upload your backup. Its a big PITA.

You should move your PBX using your customer portal account, the steps are well described. Yes you must use PBXexpress as its the best way for minimum errors and minimum management going forward.

What about installations that are older than when customer accounts were required to get a key? Can we create customer accounts and link existing keys?

Is there a tutorial for moving a PBX using a customer account?

I don't see this option. I deploy the install and it tells me the new admin password. I login and it doesn't say anything about restoring as an option.

What do I do if the instance was created with a key before a customer account was created? Is there a way to import a license into a new customer account so that I can restore the backup?

I did a password reset and for an account that I never explicitly used the customer site for before and it recognized the key. I restored successfully. Thanks!
