Is there a way to program this specific model of phone to ring even during out of office hours? The client wants the digital receptionist to run during active and off hours but during the off hours he wants it to ring first then go to the digital receptionist. Maybe I'm overlooking something but I cant seem to find an option or way to circle around that. They insist on using the digital receptionist and having specific hours of operation for the device.

You can set specific office hours for the extension but the thing is that how you route the call before the extension is what matters. Can you give us a rundown on the current setup and how calls get routed when in office hours as opposed how they get routed during out of office hours?

Example:

In Office
----------
• Incoming calls hit DID Inbound Rule
• Inbound Rule currently routes calls to Digital receptionist
• Option one routes to this specific extension (T54W).

Out of Office
----------
• Incoming calls hit DID Inbound Rule
• Inbound Rule currently routes calls to Digital receptionist
• Option one routes to this specific extension (T54W) but due to out of office hours the extension is in DND so call routes to voicemail.

In addition to the above, please provide one more call flow of what you would want to happen.

Hi Chris,

Yeah currently its a main number hitting the inbound rule, this goes to the digital receptionist. These hours are marked 8am to 5pm. After hours the clients wants all their phones to ring about 4 to 5 rings before going to the next digital receptionist.

In Office
-Ring main line goes to Digital Receptionist
-Prompts and such all contained within there

Out Of Office
-Phones should all ring
-After 15 seconds the call should move over to the digital receptionist.

I have this set up but as you mentioned the phones would be in a status of DND but they do light up reflecting getting a call but they're silent. This is what the client is mentioning to be the problem as they want an audible ring during these out of office hours.

I'm not sure I understood 100%, do you already have it setup as you want but the phones do not make an audible sound when ringing?

Also, how come they are in DND, do you have Profile Status auto-switching enabled? Why not just disable it instead?
