3CX V18 update 9, on-premise, Debian ISO
I have these settings
Inbound Rule - In Office Routing: 8010
Ring Group (8010) with two members (4000, 4100).
RG ring time is set to 25 seconds.
If not answered then End Call.

User 4000
Forwarding Rules is set to 120 seconds.
Forward internal calls to: Forward to Voicemail
Forward external calls to: Forward to Voicemail
User 4100 Forwarding Rules is set to 10 seconds.
Forwarding Rules is set to 10 seconds. This is normally set to 120 but for purpose of this example it is set to 10.
Forward internal calls to: Forward to Voicemail
Forward external calls to: Forward to Voicemail

When I call into 3CX, the inbound rule routes the call to RG 8010 and both 4000 and 4100 begin to ring. I am expecting that 4100 will pickup the call at 10 seconds and send it to voice mail but what happens it the call continues to ring is ended after 25 seconds.

Why does the call end instead of going to 4100's voice mail?

Thank you,

It doesn’t auto answer at that point. Others in the RG might answer. Set the RG final destination to the voicemail of 4100.

When an inbound call is routed to a RG then the RG's ring time is followed and the member's (user) forwarding rule is ignored.
Is that correct?

Thank you,

Right. The call does not belong to that user, yet, until it is answered.

Thank you,
This tread can be marked solved.

As mentioned the call is handled from the RG and it will follow the destination if no answer of the Ring Group.
Hope this is clarified. Have a great day ;)
