Hello, I am trying to achieve something not sure if it’s possible.

A calls B (B is a cellphone)

B is not reachable and it’s configured to transfer the call to a sip trunk registered in 3cx.

3cx receives the call and recognizes that B triggered the diverted call

3cx routes the call to the 3cx app extension that was assigned to B

I don't recall seeing anything that lead me to believe that 3CX is capable (at the moment) of doing this, but I may be wrong.

However....the mobiles forwarding should keep the original caller ID (from the 3CX extension "A" DID), so while you could do routing based on caller ID from A call from "A" now going to the mobile of B, I suspect that might cause some other issues. Of course this all depends on your caller ID set-up.

Hi, thanks for your message! I saw in the wireshark log that the only place the B number is passed is the history-info header. Is there a way to catch it in 3cx and handle the call depending on that parameter?

Again, not that I'm aware of. Normally, when call forwarding is done by a PSTN, or mobile provider, the originators caller ID is sent to the destination. Based on caller ID alone, you will have not idea who did the call forwarding.

If you had some "extra" DID numbers available, you could assign one to each user, to use as the forward destination. Have the number route directly to that users voicemail
