Has anyone had experience of ExtenSpy or ChanSpy being used in multiple instances where at least 5 or 6 managers use the extenspy or chanspy feature at the same time to listen in to different extensions for coaching.

I have been using it successfully in a small setup where just one person at a time is monitoring a call conversation, but I wondered if there are any limitations to be aware of in a larger environment with multiple use of this feature going on at the same time.

Gracias Claudio,

Google translate was enough to help me get some sense from that post, and yes it helps.

I hadn't considered using multiple chanspy numbers to restrict extension groups per manager but that would be a good additional solution for them.

I currently have a custom chanspy using context and password to restrict usage but it scrolls through all the extensions in the context

If I understand this right from the link you provided it seems you can use something like this in extensions_custom.conf;

[Monitor-marketing]
exten => 554,1,Authenticate (0000)
exten => 554,n,Set(SPYGROUP = 3)
exten => 554,n,Chanspy()

and if I then add 3 in the 'Call Group' option on an Extension it will be a member of that Spygroup. I will trial this next week and post here how it goes.

thanks again for your help.

No Problem,
Don´t forget to put your feedback, so others can benefit from it!.

Claudio

ok, well I tried various coded versions of Extenspy and Chanspy and always ended up with the same problems; the user doesnt like the delay to input PIN codes, and then gets sent to a random number anyway even with Extenspy.

so I downloaded FOP2
problem solved.
absolutely brilliant and worth every cent.
