We do have a rule, when user is disabled in company/organization, future phone calls forwarded to his/her voicemail will be emaild to site director. Organization is in healthcare business and need to respond to all clients call or leave voicemail for disabled user.
With version 20, this is not possible as we can not use same email address for few extensions. If anybody can help with a work around about this.
Thank you!

Depending on your email service you can add +whatever to the email address and it will go through. Works with Gmail and O365. So main would be [email protected] and for the other user I use the extension number so [email protected].

But we do not have here one or two users, we do have more than 15 departments and may be 5 to 10 users disabled at the same time. We do have exchange server inhouse. This way we may need to make changes to email server also.
Not sure why 3CX did go in this route for not allowing one email address to be used on few extensions.

Because you can no longer set passwords for users. If you have multiple users with the same email and use the Forgot Password link from the login page it has no way to know who is trying to reset their password.

Would you be amenable to setting up a new single extension with an alias email for your director? That way, when extension 100 is disabled, you set it up to forward all calls to the centralized disabled extension 300 which in turn is configured to email all VMs to the email alias of the director.

Adding multiple emails isn't possible at the moment.
You can always forward the calls to the voicemail of director's extension.

I can forward calls to directors, but as we know directors get bothered and do not like some extra phone calls. We did disable voicemail on extension. That was the easy way. Probably whoever calls and does not get answer, will need to call throgh voice prompt and go to front desk.
