Question. Im using the rasberry Pi for the SBC controller. If the max is 20-30 phones. If i get more phones do i need to install another SBC controller?

awesome thanks

Also, spreading your devices over multiple SBCs is not a bad practise as you will have a single point of failure using one SBC. Pi's are pretty cheap - it's worth investing for the sake of high availability.

With the new SBC High Availability there is no longer a single point of failure.

But you need 2 devices?

Thats right.
But having 2 separate SBCs still requires you to assign each phone to a single SBC.
Having an SBC HA Cluster will allow you to assign a phone each cluster, so if an SBC goes down the other will take over.
You would need 2 SBC per 100 phones in this case.

But, you could also have 2 SBCs in HA for 50 phones.. Redundancy is what im talking about.

And even If you didnt have 2 SBCs in HA mode and one SBC failed, you still end up with some phones on.

Thats right. My comment for 100 phones was for Debian, but for the Pi, it would be 2 devices for each 50 devices.
The question of the thread though was for what happens above 50 devices with a Pi. So, without High Availability you could easily add the 2nd device for the additional phones.
