you are right, if considering only the initial cost, raspberry is tempting solution.
But I have never used one, so I am concerned what is the long term cost.
It talks about 30 phones, but with raspberry, can I even make 8 simultaneous calls without performance issues?
Which is more powerful Broadcom BCM2837B0 quad-core A53 (ARMv8) or Intel Core i3-3210 Processor (3M Cache, 3.20 GHz)?
Assuming same, since i3 with 2GB can support “Up to 16 sim calls”, can I assume Raspberry with 1GB only 8 sim calls?

Okay Tony, let's get this straight:

3CX does intense testing on each release of 3CX and the SBC. When they test the Pi, they run more phones than that and a lot of calls. There are posts on their blog explaining the testing done and stats they got.

If you want an easy, cost-effective solution, go with the Pi. If you want to feel safe because you don't know Pi's architecture, then buy a small i3/4GB PC and run Debian on it.
