Hi everybody.

I'm running through some tests to connect to a Generic VoIP Provider using both a self hosted and 3cx hosted Pro 8SC.

The generic trunk will register without issues on the self hosted, but wont register on the 3cx hosted.

If I run a trace from our generic provider, I can see that the 3cx hosted is not sending any registration request but the self hosted is. Is there a restriction at the 3cx hosted end to stop generic trunks registering or something I've missed on the configuration.

There is no restriction to limit Generic providers. Since the template is available then you can use it. Check DNS resolution and that you picked the Generic VoIP Provider (Registration) template as the Generic SIP Trunk (IP based) is IP based and does not send registrations.
Also check in the Options tab of the trunk that the "Allow inbound calls" and Allow outbound calls" options are enabled.
