Setupconfig.xml CLI validation

Hello,

I'm using the setupconfig.xml to automatically provision a debian server with required parameters, with the help of Ansible.

When the file is incorrect, it just get ignored by the 3cxpbx install and the wizard shows up. Which means, not even a single line of stdout shows a message telling us the file was not parsed.

It seems like the only way to verify the file is by submitting it to the web setup wizard, which breaks the whole idea of an autoloaded setupconfig file.

Is there any way to validate the XML file before installing 3cxpbx with apt ?

I agree, it would really be nice to have a parameter that would just validate the content and confirm what would be applied.

In the meantime, I would recommend to at least validate the XML syntax to make sure there is no syntax error:

Yes, of course I'm checking my XML is well formatted.

It's working well, but if let's say for some reason a parameter expected by 3CX is not present, the whole file will get ignored, while I would rather have a fail saying "Detected invalid setupconfig..." :/

I agree that each section of the setupconfig should be not co-dependant and that a minimum output should inform the user of anything ignored via the output.

More automation = more time for sales.

3CX Should definitively put some time onto this.
