several contact for Ext.xxx is not found

I'm getting several "contact for Ext.xxx is not found" in the system logs and wanted to see what would cause this issue. We are having several calls not go through or button push not recognized and all the issues are happening on phones that the log shows as not found.

Check your BLF keys on your users configuration for any deleted extensions.

All the BLF keys are correct and no deleted extensions are in there. The extensions that the systems says it cannot find are active extensions.
