My client has been using Public folders since their first Exchange Server.Since Office 365, there has been nothign but grief and inconsistencies with them appearing and disappearing. Furthermore, 3CX changed the way it handles Public folder contacts and the Outlook add-in. Client relied HEAVILY on the Outlook add-in and made calls directly through Outlook. That's gone since I upgraded them last week to v20.
It appears Microsoft is intentionally trying to get away from Public Folders now and mivign towards Sharepoint and Groups. My client uses the Public folders to share their contacts and Calendars. 2) I have installed the 3CX Desktop app on their desktops and integrated the M365 sync but it is showing their personal contact list. It doesn't appear to have a way to access their Public Folders. SO MY QUESTION IS:
1) What are you all doing to replace the old functionality?
2) Is Microsoft Groups and Sharepoint Contacts two in the same?
3) What is 3CX recommending moving fwd
