shared voicemail easy access (dtmf ?)

Hi,

for a client company, we would like to use a group voicemail. I have set up a dummy extension for that, after the queue, this go to vm of this extension.
The problem is I cant find the way for users to consult this voicemail messages with a faster way than calling 9999 + press pound + ext number of group vm + pin code wich is so long...
Is there a way to use dtmf on the phone to directly check voicemail of another ext in one button ? (or at least one button + PIN).

I was thinking dtmf *4+EXT (by default) but this only goes to the prompt saying that you can let a message but from here I cant find a way to go "in", to listen messages.

any idea ?

*4<EXT> just connects to VM so you can leave VMs.

I know sometimes you can dial a number and use a comma for a pause. I know this works from iPhones (Out of the app). I'm wondering if maybe It would work here too?

Just a thought, probably wont work. I assume VM to email isnt good enough?

I just called 3cx support too and they told me to try "," too but saying this probably don't work and indeed after somes tests it doesn't work.

You are right about email, its probably the best even if the client prefer not to do this.

Agree, VM options are not enough extended, i'd like to have a faster access when in office too (faster menus giving direct access to listen voice mail) boring listening each time vocal guide asking to press * to hear message, when you have done it once you know it, so give messages to hear directly.

I'd like a simple voice mail too, without option to leave a message .

One option is to manually configure a second account on your physical phone for the dummy extension. This will cause your MWI to turn on when a voicemail is waiting in your primary voicemail box or the dummy extension.

Pressing the voicemail button on your phone will display both voicemail boxes and allow you to choose which voicemail box you want to access. It is an administrative hassle, but once it is set up it works well.

Configuring a button to do everything (send a SIP message, then switch to DTMF, after a particular character), is going to be a function/feature of the set itself, if available at all. While it was fairly common (inserting a pause), with speed dial buttons, on older, analogue sets (and even mobile phones), it is rare on SIP phones
