I have 3 sites at my company that I would like to connect their extension lists together. Hopefully I'm making sense. My goal is to have someone at one site be able to search for someone's extension that exists at another site through the 3cx windows app. Right now someone at site A can only look up someone's extension from within site A using the 3cx windows app. I would like to know how to get site A users to search for extensions at sites B and C.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe

You could either host your PBX in the cloud and have an SBC at each of your 3 sites and have all your extensions on one pbx or you could get a pbx at each site and bridge all 3 together. You would need the pro license for this option as this is required to publish extension presence over bridge connections.

An SBC per site might be the cheapest option but is limited to I believe 16 ext per sbc per site. However that wouldn’t stop you adding more sbc per site. Personally I’d go for hosted pbx with sbc if your ext # is low per site

Sorry may have misread. Have you already got site b and c up? If so, how? Are they pro license and have to enabled show presence from bridge settings per site?

This is impossible with bridges only presence can be used, the only way i see, should be one cloud pbx with 3 sbc on A,B,C this way global phonebook is shared.

Depending on the phone, you maybe able to add the other site’s address book manually to the phone,

On yealink, you can multiply xml address books - you just need to point to the correct url
