sip:00 shows up in From line. How can I change this?

When I dial out from 3CX v. 16.0.2.910, on my extension 00, the Activity Log shows:

From: "Real Donald Duck"<sip:[email protected].3cx.us:5060>

I would ideally like the sip:00 part to show my 11 digit DID, sip:12025551212, since that is what Flowroute uses to do the mapping for the CNAM lookup service.

Using the Flowroute default template, I was showing up as No Caller ID. So I tried changing the From variables on the SIP Outbound Parameters tab. Now they are:

From: Display Name = Originator Caller ID Original Caller number will be sent.
From: User Part = Custom Field 12025551212
From: Host Part GWHostPort

This still results in sip:00 being sent in the From: field. On the extensions -> General tab for extension 00, the Outbound Caller ID is the ten-digit 2025551212.

I really have no idea what I am doing. Has anyone gotten this to work?

Revert the variables and use the Outbound Caller ID section in each extension (it's right under the name, ext number, etc)

So if I delete the SIP trunk and re-add it to get the default values for Flowroute, which are

From: Display Name = CallerDispName
From: User Part Originator Caller ID
From: Host Part GWHostPort

and under the extension > General > Outbound Caller ID I put either 2025551212 or 12025551212, I still get From: "Real Donald Duck" <sip:00....>

no don't delete your trunk just change settings in trunk check this


in each extension you want your DID sended, set it

the sip:00 is you to your local PBX, not flowroute.

Flowroute doesn't care about your local PBX or your SIP ID. Flowroute sees the outbound caller id (because 3CX sends it) and passes it on to the end users system.
Flowroute also doesn't provide the name to the end recipient. The recipient system does a cnam lookup based on the caller id (if configured).

All Flowroute does is allow you to publish a name for a number into the global cnam directory. Which can take a week to propagate to the world at large.

The default template in 3CX for flowroute, combined with the callerid, combined with asking flowroute to "set cnam storage" is all you need to configure.
