SIP client SDK for 3CX

Hello,
Could someone suggest a good SIP client SDK for 3CX system? We would like to use the SDK to develop our own customized softphone. Has anyone done this before?

If you are programming in .net I would use vaxvoip http://vaxvoip.com . It's easy to use, sounds good and is royalty free. I used it to program a windows service for call handling.
