SIP Provider Recommendation for USA

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have a SIP provider that they like (can you really love a provider) in the US? I've been a Telnyx user for years but they've become unreliable and when issues arise, their support doesn't do anything. I've had two main outages in the last 4 days. Who needs phones right?

Any thoughts on Twilio? I'd like to have multiple now for redundancy since I've been burned by Telnyx.

Telnyx is currently under attack and they are experiencing some issues and degraded performance which would explain their outages. You can check the status here: https://status.telnyx.com/

We have a big list of supported providers for the US which you can try. See which one offers the features you want and decide.

Yes, I'm well aware that Telnyx was under attack but it was the 3rd attack in 4 days which just shows their infrastructure is not made for it. At the same time, their support is non-existent with information when this is happening and ability to even call their support line doesn't work. Phones are important, especially in public spaces that require 911 functionality and I just can't have it down for 4 hours at a time.

I've reviewed your list and was hoping to get some feedback from users about their daily usage of providers. Features help but I also care about support and service and that is the feedback I was hoping to get. If I just look at websites, Telnyx looks great but sadly their service has suffered over the last year.

I understand where you are coming from and I am sure others users will be able to assist you with feedback regarding other providers.

I'm just going to pitch in here and say that because I completely understand the importance of being able to reach 9-1-1 at any time, it might be worth considering having a single PSTN line with a small FXO Gateway, to have as a backup just for 911, in case the provider and/or internet goes even goes down.
