Solved SIP Settings in default Phone App

Hi,

My default phone app is having the facility to configure SIP phone. I am using Xiaomi Redmi 7s.

But when I am configuring the SIP phone facility, with the 3CX Extension settings, it is not getting authenticated.

How to get this done. 3CX online chat help mentioned, that it is not possible. One has to use the 3CX app only.

Generally the 3CX Chat help is correct, we only guarantee that the 3CX Apps will work, no other 3rd-party apps.

I will start off by saying that I would highly recommend you try our apps, regardless how well (if at all) this SIP Client will work, you'll only be getting a fraction of the 3CX experience.

Anyhow, in the Extension Settings in your 3CX Management Console you need 3 things:

• Extension Number: this most likely goes in the "Username" field
• ID, found in the "Phone Provisioning" tab: this I think should go in the "Authentication username" field
• Password, found in the "Phone Provisioning" tab: this goes in the "Password" field.

Also in the Extension settings, you would need to uncheck option "Disallow use of Extension outside the LAN" in the "Options" tab.

If it works, OK, if not, just install the 3CX App.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Yes, I could enable it now. In the phone extension (3CX PBX), in the extension I am configuring, I had to disable 'Use 3CX Tunnel for remote connections (3CX App only)'. So immediately, it prompted to disable, the "Disallow use of Extension outside the LAN".
