Hallo every one
I have a funny or a very weird problem with two Snom 870 desk phone with firmware 8.7.5.55

DeskPhone1: PROBLEM SOLVED...!
I have created a ext "Snom 870-2" and can controle it under phones and it is provision correctly, it is located on local network - but when I try to reconnect it from a external network it ask for HTTP username and HTTP password - but what the username and password?

Update:

i mange to figure out the username and password for phone UI - but I am not able to correct the settings from 3cX mangement console when the phone is on external network and I can't call other ext. and other ext are not able to call this ext.

ISSUES WITH PHONE IS SOLVED: It is solved via the SBC installed on a RaspberryPi 3 - and then it also helped that i was a externel network that NOT are connected to the same HUB as the server it self.

DeskPhone2: PROBLEM SOLVED...!
This one is a bit more tricky, it won do any thing, and when I get it do just a little thing, it ask for account and registar, but I can see it as NEW under phones, where I have assigned a new ext "Snom 870-3" but nothing happens. so what to do...?

Update:

i have looked at settings from deskphone1 and copied them into deskphone2, and it is reacting on "robot" from the phones tab - but it is NOT provising at all - after reboot it ask for HTTP user and password

ISSUES WITH PHONE IS SOLVED: I downloaded a xml settings file from the phone I could controll trough 3cx mangement console, uploaded it to desk phone 2 from the PhoneUI, it rebooted and every thing is fine now.

SOLVED TO: Equally for both of them - when they are factory reset I can't change the field under Advanded>Update and the field "Setting URL:" it is locked to "https://HIDDENNAME.3cx.eu/rps/cfg{mac}"

what I am doing wrong here

Hi Mst,

Firstly take a review of the steps in this guide:
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/snom-820-821-870/

Also have a check of your firmware, and check that you are running the latest "3CX Supported" firmware: http://wiki.snom.com/Snom870/Firmware

Phone 1 sounds like you have provisioned it locally and moved it to the remote site, this will not work as you have correctly pointed out it is trying to provision using HTTP (which will only work within the local LAN). You need to connect and provision it via remote STUN HTTPS.

https://www.electronicfrontier.co.uk/provisioning-remote-phones-using-rps-direct-sipstun/

If you are talking about the password to access the phone - this has now changed, it is still "admin" for username but the password has now been provisioned.

Look in 3CX under the Extension >> Provisioning >> Phone Web Page Password.

But you say you have now fixed this ?

It may also be worth taking a log and PCAP trace from the phone itself and see what it is requesting and whether it is getting a response from the server.

This is fairly easy with a snom you just need to use the PCAP/Trace feature and put your logs on level 9.

Although it has been a common requirement with some models of "supported" phone to disable a feature called "allow Trusted certificates only" I think this should be OK with snom, however as per the below guide it is yet to be fully confirmed by 3CX: https://www.3cx.com/docs/fqdn-ssl-certificate-v15/

A bit of an strange one but sometimes phones will reply with this message (500 server internal error) but they will provision anyway.

Hello @mst1

Please note that when you provision a phone as local you cannot move it to a remote location without re-provisioning the phone.
When you set the extension to be provisioned as STUN the phone will contact the RPS server of the vendor and once the phone boots up it will request the extensions number as username and the voicemail pin as password. Once the correct credentials are provided the the phone will contact the 3CX PBX and provision.
