I am trying to avoid custom templates on our GCP hosted 3cx.
We currently provision via STUN and plan on moving to SBC or VPN.
VPN looks like the best option so I can use Page Groups and avoid the custom templates.

I have created a multicast page group but do not see the option for our existing Snom and Yealink phones to add them to the group
https://www.3cx.com/docs/ip-phone-configuration/#h.waok7g2d0ljw

If I cannot get this to work I would end up with 10+ custom templates to cover all the custom multicast address groups.

In order to use multicast paging the phones have to be on the same subnet as the PBX as mentioned: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/ring-groups-paging-intercom/

You could try a VPN and having the phones provisioned as local but will need to ensure the VPN will send the multicast between the networks.

As above. The reason being that the PBX is the one sending the multicast stream out to the phones, so if they are remote phones the multicast stream will never reach them.
