Does anyone have any ideas how best to achieve the following: I’ve Snom 320/360 phones and on them I want to indicate with the BLF indications which Ring Group is being called i.e. I’d have a button programmed for each group.
I don’t want to append the ring group name to the caller id as that stops our ldap lookup from recalling the calling number details. I can’t assign the extension number of the ring group to the key as that’s not actually being called.
I thought of creating dummy extensions and including one in each of the ring groups and then showing that extension on the BFL, but I’d have thought they’d be a more elegant way of handling this.
We’ve the same users picking up different ring groups and they need to know how to answer the call.
