Hello,

I am having a strange issue with a Snom C520 conference phone that we just purchased. When I plug it into our local network, it does show up on our locally hosted 3CX system as a new phone to add, but the only option I see is to Reject the phone. The Add extension or Assign to extension options are greyed out.

Things I have tried:

1. Manually provisioning the phone using the IP address of the local phone system and the user/pass of the extension we want to assign, found under the "Phone Provisioning" tab.
2. Updating to the firmware provided by 3CX.
3. Factory resetting the phone.

Is there anything I am missing here?

Thanks!

Wade.

Hi,

This will normally happen if your PBX does not recognize the device as a supported model.

What version is your PBX currently, do you have any pending updates?

I am seeing the same thing for my C520

It seems that there is no template for this phone in the snom.ph.xml file even though there are instructions on how to setup this phone within 3CX:https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/snom-c-series/

How can I set this up, is there a custom template available or an update the snom template file

Support for the C520 was first added in V18. So if you are currently running 3CX V16 you will not be able to configure it.
