Solved Snom D345 Custom Ringtone with Hosted by 3cx

We are currently using the Hosted by 3cx solution and would like to have custom ringtones for our Snom deskphones without disabling provisioning. Before we self hosted 3cx and used custom templates, but we are not allowed to use them in the current solution, so only 3cx could make the necessary change in their official template.

Is it possible for 3cx to update the template for Snom Dxxx phones to allow a custom melody? "Ring 1-10" and "Silent" are already there, why is there no custom?

For the time being, the templates that we have with Snom are as is, and have been revised recently. They're not subject to change. With regards to the custom ringtone, Hosted by 3CX instances don't allow custom templates just yet.

I wouldn't recommend it, but what you could do is provision the phone then remove the provisioning link and manually configuring the phone as you see fit, meaning 3CX won't overwrite the configuration. Note that this would mean that adding BLFs or making other changes to the phone via 3CX won't work. Reprovisioning the phone via 3CX won't work either.

Thanks for the clarification. Disabling the provisioning after everything is set up is what we currently have to do. But that is, as you said, not very pretty. I was hoping we could push the idea of expanding the snom template. However, I guess we have to wait until custom templates are integrated in the hosted by 3cx solution.
