Hello,

I have a site with 10 D715 phones. After generating a phone book on the 3CX all phones can search in the ponebook. No problem here.
The problem is on 1 phone were the user can not use his keys to search fast in his phone directory.

To explane more in detail. On every other phone i can use my dail pad to generate fore example a a letter "m" wich generate the phonebook to go to the names that start with "M". On that one phone it does not react on the dail pad. After thinking wat the difference could be i had a look to the display. Here i could see that on the most phones there was information ( prename) and on the one (birthday). It seems that all the phones search in the prename an only the one in the birtday. There are no birthdays filled in and therefore it wont search.

Where can i change this setting that that one phone use prename to search in. I could not find this in the 3CX and also not on the phone webintreface.

All the phones have the latest firmware and works on the same provisioning profiles.

Hello @janvm

Since the phones are the same they should be running the same firmware and the same template so they should behave the same. I would recommend ensuring that the phone with the issue runs the same firmware and template as the other phones and if the issue still persists try to reprovision the phone. Also the 3CX phonebook for IP phones does not include birthday information. It only includes First name, Last name and mobile phone number.

Hello @YiannisH_3CX

I just double checked. The phone with the problem runs the same (latest) firmware. Also i did never change the template from the system. knowing that there is nothing different between the phones.

To be sure i did the reprovisioning. Nothing changed.

The only way this could be adapted is by the user itself on the snom. As there is no possibility to change this setting in the 3cx extension settings it has to be a setting in the snom that is not changed in the template and therefore wont change in the reprovisioning.

The only solution is to retrieve it in the setting off the snomp itself butt til now i have no ideay where.
I only can conclude that is is a sort function to search in. This is like discussed before visible on the phone itself like "arow up / arrow down Birthday" insead "arow up / arrow down prename"

If this is a settings that a user changed which is not included in provisioning then you could factory reset the phone and re-provision it. The factory reset will bring the phone back to the defaults.

You are right. I did remotly a factory reset via the web interface of the snom. After that it came back as a non configured Phone on the 3CX Phone list. After assinging the extension to the Phone, the phonebook worked perfectly.

@YiannisH_3CX Thanks for the support

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you for updating the thread with your solution.
