Snom D785 Firmware Update Issue

Updated our Snom D785 phones to the firmware version 10.1.64.17 that 3CX released today. Two issues:

1. Individual BLF keys randomly drop out. Light turns red and LCD icon changes from a handset to an X.

2. The upgraded phones are listed twice in the list of connected phones in the 3CX console.

The phones still on version 10.1.54.16 are working perfectly.

Anyone else running into these issues with the new firmware?

3CX Version: Professional Perpetual 16.0.8.9
Server OS: Debian 9
Server: AWS LightSail VM
Phones: Snom D785
Provisioning: STUN and SBC
Trunk Provider: nexVortex
Firewall Check Passed: Yes
Custom Phone Templates: No

The three phones upgraded to 10.1.64.17 yesterday were all connecting perfectly fine via STUN without issues for years. After the upgrade yesterday, they still connected fine. It's just that their BLF subscriptions started timing out.

I've switched all three phones from STUN to SBC this morning and the problem seems to go away. BLF subscriptions are now reliable again.

The only thing that changed yesterday was the upgrading of firmware to 10.1.64.17 on these three phones. The other six phones in the office remain on 10.1.54.16 and still connect via STUN without any BLF issues.

Regardless of whether it worked before, could you please take a look at all the points mentioned in this article, and tell us if they are all met regarding the STUN phones specifically?

I have a D785 running in a STUN test environment and it works correctly so far, but in your case it may be different. The above article should help guide you into making sure you provide the phones with the best conditions for STUN.

Ok so far I have still not been able to replicate what happened on your phones, so if you still plan on using them in STUN I would recommend to factory reset, and reprovision it as per our guide

At least this way you will see if the phone behaves correctly when starting from a clean slate.
