I've just updated an active M400 setup with another M400 base and I've set them in dual cell mode.
Now I'm able to see all handhelds on both bases, so better coverage and roaming.
With this configuration I should be able to increase the maximum supported handhelds from 20 with 8 sym calls to 40 devices and 16 sym calls, but I can't find how to set 3CX FXS/DECT section from 20 to 40 devices. At the moment I've set 20 cordless devices and I need to add some ASAP.

Anyone can help me? It's not about how to set dual cell: it's just the 3cx part.

Hi John,
actually it's the same product, but Snom website specs are incorrect: looks like they're reporting as the old M300.
M400 can be configured as dual cell, and according to Snom channel director for Italy, when set up in dual cell it will support up to 40 handsets.

Either way you will have to take it up with them, since they are the ones producing the hardware, publishing the specs and also wrote and tested the 3CX template

I've just talked to Snom Europe support, and this is the fact:
At the beginning M400 was meant to be a single cell DECT solution with up to 20 handsets, more or less, like the discontinued M300, so the 3CX provisioning file is still at this stage. As we know it is possible to set it in dual cell with another base, but at the moment is impossible to go over 20 connected devices via provisioning, btw is possible set them manually.
And that's what I will do whenever I'll need to exceed the 20 handset limit.
Snom support will notify me whenever the developer team will fix this limitation with a new 3Cx template.
That's all.

Hi @M.Zanetti

Noted, and thanks for sharing this information.

If you add more manually and the current 3CX template goes up to the first 20, then the other 20 will remain untouched by our provisioning and it should work as you described.

Let's see what Snom decides in the future and we can take it from there when the time comes.

Addendum:
SNOM suggests me to use M900 template, in order to be able to provision more than 20 accounts on M400.
This could be useful in the meanwhile.
