We use PA1s to pass multicast pages to supplemental speakers and for serving as external ringers for phones in large, noisy environments. Over the past few years we've had several PA1s spontaneously lose the ability to receive multicasts. In the logs of working PA1s I can see entries for "Start PA" and "Stop PA". The broken PA1s no longer show such log entries. I've verified the multicast configuration, of course, restored defaults, and tried upgrading the firmware. The only recourse we've found is to replace the unit. Does anyone have any experience with this issue, other suggestions for a fix, or ideas for an alternate device that can serve the same purposes?

Go with the Fanvil PA2 or PA3 they are 3CX supported and a current product.

Thank you for that recommendation - I'll look into the PA3 as a replacement. One follow up question if I may... The speaker wires connect to the PA1s with spring connectors. The PA3's connectors are shown below. Can you tell me what these are called - what types of connectors are needed to use them - so I can locate the parts?

From the looks of it, it will accommodate the same bare (or soldered end) wire. I assume that the slot a the top is for a small flat screwdriver to be inserted to release the wire. The manual doesn't go into any detail so I have to assume that the connection will be obvious once you see it.

I think it comes in the box, but if it doesn't...
