We have a load of new T33G's and all are working fine except for two. The only two that had firmware updates applied to them through the 3CX Console.

Out of the box they had 124.86.0.158 and all these work fine and dial out from the softphone both in Softphone & CTI modes.

The only two we upgraded the Firmwares on were from 124.86.0.158 to 124.87.0.20 and now only dial out in Softphone mode but not in CTI mode.

I've tried to manually apply the previous firmware to see if this is the issue but it fails with a softwware limit issue.

Has anyone had anything similar before or know how we can re-apply the previous firmware?

Been doing some digging and might be an issue going back from 87 to 86 it seems.
I've managed to go back from 124.87.0.20 to 124.87.0.15 but that doesn't seem to have helped with the issue.

Wondering if there is any reason 87 doesn't work and what could be different between 87 and 86 to stop it dialing out on the softphone when in CTI mode. I'm guessing the softphone is not linking to the deskphone in some way.

Not sure how you confirm if the softphone is linking to the deskphone OK when you switch it to CTI mode?

Hello,

What version of the softphone are you using?

I think you may be on to something there as have worked out the issues. The end users are all on v16 of the app as they preferred the older interface. The Yealinks on 86 firmwares all work OK on v16. As soon as the Yealinks go to any 87 firmwares the CTI on the v16 app stops working. It works OK on the v20 app.

Not sure what the differences or reasons are for this not working but the Yealink 86 GUI is very different look/feel to 87. Looks night and day new gen vs old gen.

I have ran the firmware back a little on 87 but can't go back to 86 now and only 87.x so I guess we are stuck and have to force them to update all their end user apps to v20? We still have most end users working OK under the v16 app as their Yealinks are still on 86 firmwares.

So we can't go back to 86 firmwares once they have updated to 87? Then the only real option is to force them to the v20 app at some point if we ever want to upgrade the Yealink firmwares to 87.x or later/latest?

Might be useful for anyone experiencing the same.
