I have a client that is using an Analog system and is about to switch over to 3CX. Currently when the receptionist transfers a call after announcing the caller, a chirp is played indicating the two callers have been connected and the receptionist is no longer there. With 3CX, it is just silence. The employee has no idea that the customer is sitting there listening and the receptionist has disconnected. How difficult would it be to play a wav file on a successful transfer?

This is the first time I can recall that request in the Forum, or even mention of the "chirp" feature, used on another PBX. Making something like this easily/economically, work, without it being a 3CX feature, may prove to be difficult, if not impossible. They may have to learn to live with "silent transfers", the way most other PBX users do. If you are able, it could be suggested in the Ideas forum.

I guess I will have to muck around the call flow stuff?
