My company uses 3cx at four locations, one at the main site and 3 remote offices. All 3cx servers are connected via site-to-site VPN. Our use for 3cx is basic. We only use 3cx for internal and external calling, use of the 3cx pc app to handle voicemail, and that is it. We don't use the 3cx's webclient, blocking those ports for security reasons. 3 out of our 4 sites still use the SPA504G phones to handle phone calls.
The two remote sites are running 3cx v15 on a Windows 7 box and the other is on Windows Server 2012r2. The 2012r2 I'm not that much concerned about since it's at the main office so I could migrate the installation to another server. The biggest problem is with the two remote sites that run the 3cx Windows 7 box, that also still are on SPA504G phones.
Can I let the SSL certificates expire and still keep the activations or is it an absolute must that I have all installations on 3cx v16? Those two remote sites on Windows 7 are on Standard Annual and the main site is on a Standard Perpetual. Is that another issue I need to be concerned about?
My end goal is to avoid unneeded work. If I have to I'll need a little bit of guidance on how to redirect already provisioned 3cx phones to a new IP.
