Is there any way to create a standalone greeting other than creating a voicemail box. We use a system status greeting to let people know if there are any system failures, in our current system they can here the message then have the option to press 0 to go to the service desk. With the voicemail box if they press 0 they go to the system operator which is not the service desk, and the digital receptionist does not allow you to update the message which is done daily. Thoughts? Help?

V10 will allow you to record new Digital Receptionist messages via the phone. While not recommended due to quality it may be sufficient for your network messages.

You can also drop a wav file on the 3cx server overwriting the system message each day. Be careful with this approach as the IVR can cache these files, especially if you use IIS rather than abyss.

Another option is if you do not use the system operator. In that case if your service desk is an extension then you are able to set the SIP ID on the "Other" tab for the extension to 0 and then it will go to that extension when they press 0. If your servicedesk is a ring group or queue then you could set a dummy extension with this 0 and have it forward to the servicedesk.
