static ip address for yealink

Hi there,

I am trying to retain a static IP address for a yealink T53 router phone for firewall rule purposes for now. Is there a way to assign a static IP in the 3cx admin console? Since the phone is set with the static IP through the web UI, I noticed when I re provisioned it, the local IP field is blank. I take it 3cx must assign the phone an IP address when set to DHCP. Thanks.

Your DHCP server gives out IP addresses.

You will need to manually set the phone with an IP Address. follow this guide:

So I did set the static IP address through the phones UI, and made the DNS primary server 8.8.8.8, however it is showing to be down in 3cx and there is no local IP address showing for the phone.

If you are manging the firewall, then what you can do is to set dhcp reservation on the yealink mac address so it will always lease the same IP address and in this way you can set your firewall rules too
