There are quite a few steps which a user has to go through in order to get a voicemail recorded, and we were hoping it would be possible to make the overall process a tad easier for our less technical savvy (or impatient) clients.

Right now the process is like this:
  1. Get routed to the voicemail
  2. Record message
  3. Press #
  4. Listen to prompt and figure out which key you have to press to get the message recorded
  5. Press 0
  6. Disconnect
Is there any way to get 3CX to behave like a regular voicemail? So more like this:
  1. Get routed to voicemail
  2. Record message
  3. Disconnect
The current process is complicated even for us who know how things work :)

Hi Vic,

Both scenarios are supported "out of the box"
If caller simply drop the call, message will be saved.

By pressing #, caller accesses to VoiceMail recording menu.
It provides following options:
1. Caller may change the decision to leave the message and don't save it.
2. Caller can verify how his message is formulated.
3. Caller can override recorded message if it is necessary

Thanks
