I have the main number 07xxxxxxxx and i would wish the last three numbers(xxx) and replaced with the extension number i have assigned my agents eg when extension 500 make an outbound call the main number to be 07xxxxx500 as the outbound number for that extension

You say you have main number 07xxxxxxxx, do you also have DDI numbers assigned to this main number ?

If answer is no, then you can not mask outgoing calls with your required numbers

If the answer is yes, it is setup on the phone extension , edit the edition and add the correct number to 'Outbound Caller ID' within the general tab

Note : All calls with show this number, no way of switching this off except changing it in the 3CX management console

in the general tab the outbound call ID is the correct number and the DIDs are available at the sip trunk section but when i make a call using diffent extension the outbound number is the same for all extensions

What does activity log show you, does it show you the general number or DDI number

when i make a call using diffent extension the outbound number is the same for all extensions

The outbound Caller ID will generally show (there are options in the trunk settings that can affect this) when placing outside calls, but only for the extension that is is datafilled against. What do you mean "when i make a call using diffent extension" ?

Can I ask why you would want to change the last 3 digits at the end? If someone rings you back with the number 07111111500 then it would be a random person? Surely you would get complaints from people saying that you are using their number?

the main reason as to why i wanted the last three digit changed is because when someone call using an extension and the client calls back the calls ring to our main customer care phone of which he/she is unable to specifically know who had called the exact client

what i mean is that i got different extension assigned to different people, but the outbound number for all extensions is the same which makes it to complicated for the customer care who receives the calls without specifically knowing who exactly had called certain number so that he/she can transfer the call to the correct extension

So...are you saying that you are unable to change any outgoing Caller ID, from any extension? You are only able to send the "main" number? If that is the case, first of all, does your provider allow that? Some (many?) do not. If you have confirmed that they do, then there may need to be a change to the outbound options in the trunk settings.

Yes,im unable to change the outgoing caller id for any extension and the sip provider has fully guranteed me of changing the number

Hi @kelvin

Let's consider the following example just to make things more clear.

Assume that you have this main trunk number: 123456789100
And you have extension 101,102,103,...,199
If i got it right, you want every extension to have its own DID? For example:
Extension 101 >> DID 123456789101
Extension 102 >> DID 123456789102
...
Extension 199 >> DID 123456789199

Now let's take extension 101. When dialing out you want it to send 123456789101 as the caller ID?
And what about when someone calls back to 123456789101? Do you want to route the call to extension 101?
This assumes that you own these DIDs because even if for some reason the provider allows you to send out the specific caller IDs, what would happen when they are called back. They need to route back to your trunk.

Assuming that you own all these DIDs, you need to clarify with the provider as to what SIP field they require this info to be sent when calling out.
Then you change the Outbound Caller ID in your Extensions Settings to reflect the DID of each one and in the Outbound Parameters of your SIP Trunk's Settings you need to set the SIP field that your provider told you as "OutboundCallerid Outbound caller id taken from Extension settings in management console"

Now for incoming calls, you will need to add all these DIDs in your SIP Trunk's Settings >> DIDs Tab and then add an inbound rule for each DID to route to the required extension.

yes the above description is what i exactly want, call out with the extension number replaced in the last three digits of the main outbound number and also when the client calls back the call is exactly sent back to the specific extension. The provider has given the pririty to create the numbers as the only numbers that matters to the service provider are the first 6 digits(sip number) and i have created the DIDs and configured the outbound number of each extension but ooops, every time i call the main number is the one that goes out as an outbound number for all the extensions

Have you done this:
you need to clarify with the provider as to what SIP field they require this info to be sent when calling out.

Also, what is happening if you dial a DID directly?

Can you please generate the support info from Management Console >> Support(Top-Right) >> Generate Support Info and send me a PM with the downloaded file?
