I have a lead that is coming from a Toshiba PBX, and their phones have 3 BLFs keys that monitor group voicemails.
I know the 3CX group voicemail behavior is "delete and email" but they don't want that.

I could configure 3 virtual extensions in 3CX to act as those mailboxes, but is there a way (preferably with Yealink) to subscribe to those extensions MWI and retrieve the messages?
They let me know this feature is a show stopper, as users will not be actively checking emails throughout the day.

I'm aware this would require manually creating a template, that's not an issue for me.

I have not tried this recently, but in the past you could auto-provision the phone with the primary account (extension) and also MANUALLY add a second account that points to a shared extension. With this configuration, the MWI will turn on if either extension receives a new voicemail. Pressing the voicemail button will display a list of the number of voicemails on each account and allow you to choose which voicemail box to access.

I've seen others suggest that 3CX now wipes out the 2nd account when the phone reprovisions. If that is the case, I suppose you could manually provision both the primary and secondary accounts.

Alternatively, you could take a look at our 3CX Voicemail Manager. The group voicemail feature expands on 3CX's group voicemail feature. Our tool duplicates the voicemail to everyone in the group so that their MWI turns on. Further, if anyone in the group listens to the voicemail, it will turn off the MWI for all group members. This ensures you don't have multiple people chasing the same voicemail.

Thank you. I quickly realized the best way to solve this was adding a "hidden" second registration and using the GUI to see which account had a new message. (after faffing around trying to see if I could subscribe DSS keys in different ways) I wish that I could get specific VM DSS keys on Yealink to monitor each registration. I'm waiting to hear back if the GUI method is acceptable. Though I heard rumors other hardware phones may offer more desirable behavior. I just don't want to go out buying every phone under the sun trying to find a good match.

If they approve the GUI menu option, I'll end up making custom templates that I'll use for groups of users that need different arrangements.

Your VM Manager is only a slight miss with this lead as they would prefer to see a specific DSS key per MWI subscription. Flashing the MWI for "any voicemail without indication as to which mailbox it is" wouldn't be sufficient for them. :\ (I wish they'd just watch their email throughout the day) as they'll be watching up to 4 different VM mailboxes.

To be clear, using the 2nd account approach does turn on the MWI and pressing the voicemail button on your phone does display (as I recall) something like:

Account 1Account 2
15

So you can see which mailbox has the new email. But you are right, that is different than having a dedicated MWI for each box. Still, it isn't necessary to browse to the web interface.

In my tests with a T46S it goes straight to the primary registration's mailbox, vs the "View Voice Mail" screen. I couldn't find any way to jump right to that screen so far, would be nice if I could.

This stems from the need to view which queue's VM has a pending message, and I'll need to use virtual extensions because they refuse to accept emailing as an option.

Another possibility would be to write a small application that resides in the notification area (typically lower right-hand corner of the screen). The application icon could change color, pop a dialog, ring a bell, etc. when a voicemail is waiting... clicking on the icon could show all the needed voicemail boxes and allow you to listen to the voicemail, etc. We can't change the 3CX client interface, but we can build our own if needed.

I really like that option. This is a medical practice, and it's a case of teaching old dogs new tricks, unfortunately.
