Does 3CX support or will it support in the future sending PIDFLO/XML on DLR calls?

Can I get some kind of response from 3CX on this question?

Hello Nicholas,

I wanted to follow up on this since we are starting to see some new regulations that might be hitting the Canadian market. As well, the US market does require DLR now due to Ray Baum's act and Kari's Law. Are there plans to integrate detection of location changes from the web client / Desktop application, where the system detects that the location of the user changed, based on the most recent public IP? This seems like it would be a much needed feature to complete the e911 geolocation functions on 3CX.

Thank you

If I understand it correctly, the current 3CX method uses static Geolocation assignments for the extension that must be pre-configured with the provider. When an emergency call is made, 3CX does a lookup to get the full address to be sent to the PSAP. After setup, this works well for sending room/office numbers/names, building wing or floor information, etc. But it does not detect IP changes or allow passing Address Line 2 information (Room, Floor, Suite, Apartment, etc.) directly from the 3CX User details.

It would be a huge benefit to enhance the Dynamic Location Routing/DLR aspect by allowing registered 911 ANIs to overwrite their registered address information so that users can update this when working from another location.

This would take some work to provide. 3CX would detect IP address changes for a user and prompt them for their current 911 address details, it would need to pre-validate the primary address information (other than Address Line 2) and store it for use on the Users next 911 call so it's not treated as an unregistered call and subject to the associated delays and fees. Best if it can allow the user to save and choose named locations (work, home, etc).

The above approach would work for softphones, but not desk phones unless the user is also running the app and is prompted to update their emergency address or notified by email to update their address.

Short of full automated DLR/ERL support, adding an "Emergency Address Line 2" field to Users would simplify setup and management of 911 addresses by using one registered 911 ANI per physical address and dynamically inserting the Line2 value from the 3CX user record. This would allow 3CX Administrators to configure this value without needing access to the SIP provider account.

In addition to user-based IP change detection and prompt, automatic location based on Public IP and/or Private IP range or subnet would be very useful.

@N_G - We've chatted about some of this in the past, and I really appreciate having the current Geolocation mechanism available. Any chance some of these other methods are or could be on the roadmap?
