Syncing MS365 to a 3CX with only local users

I just have a question about the sync from MS365 to a running 3CX, where are only local users atm. The users should all have the same name (first name and last name) and the same mail-address as in MS365. Is it possible that the existing local users are replaced by the match with a property during the sync and all previous settings are retained, or is this a pure sync and all settings for each extension, group, queue etc. must then be re-set for the users?

It syncs only based on email address. It will match existing users with that.

It won't override any setting unless you configure it to "Sync Office Phone as Outbound Caller ID" and "Sync User Photo".

You can also configure it to sync only the users you want, this way, it doesn't create random users for guests or generic emails.
