T41S as a router phone?

Hello again,

I'm currently looking into provisioning a router phone, however the client currently only has Yealink T41S devices in their possessionn. I was hoping to setup a router phone, but when going to provision it in the 3CX admin console, the 'connect directly' option was greyed out. I assume the reason for this is simply that it isn't supported as a router phone, as I know that when selecting a different model such as a T41U, it is no longer greyed out.

It mentions here, https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/ that the T4 series can be used as router phones, but here, https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/sbc-router-phone/, it only refers to the T5 series of Yealinks that can be used as router phones. My confusion comes from the fact that the T41U gives the option to directly connect, whereas the T41S doesn't. I'd assume either both or neither would work?

Apologies for rambling, but I'd simply like to confirm if the T41S can be used as a router phone or not and that I'm right in my assumption as to why the option was greyed out.

The T4xP, T4xG, T4xS and T3 series phones cannot be router phones. Only most T5x phones (except T58) and T4xU phones can be router phones.

The P,G and S are all older series phones and likely to never get upgraded to be router capable by Yealink.
