Hi,

Is there any plans to depriciate TAPI in V18. We have a potential client who currently uses ACT but plans to move to a new supported CRM in 6-12 months.

TAPI will continue being supported with the 3CXPhone for Windows client. As long as you have the client installed, you will be able to use TAPI.

Hi edossantos,

We are having an issue with TAPI:

We have tried 2 machines on the latest 3CX version and cannot get this to work.

Do you see your extension number listed in the Tools > Connect using menu of the dialer tool?

Also, you should check that 3CXPhone for Windows is loading the TAPI plugin. The file "C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\3CXWin8Phone.user.config" should have the following line:
<add key="CRMPlugin" value="3CXPhoneTapiPlugin,CallTriggerCmdPlugin,DotNetScriptPlugin" />

Ensure that 3CXPhoneTapiPlugin is there, otherwise the plugin will not be loaded.

Also, please note that the functionality is only available with PRO licenses.

Thank you, I was testing it on a Standard server. It works fine on a Pro server.
