Hi,

Starting my first 3cx/teams integration and was wondering about the MS licensing side of things.
According to https://www.3cx.com/docs/microsoft-teams-business-voice/ I need either a Microsoft 365 Plan plue either Microsoft Phone System (add-on) or Business Voice (add-on).
However, Business Voice has been discontiued.

It looks like "Microsoft Teams Phone Standard" is the proper (ie. cheapest) add-on licens needed for non-E5 plans now. Is that correct?

Yes, Phone System Standard is the replacement license. Use that.

Make sure you got 3CX Enterprise as well as it is required for the Teams integration.

Wow, that was quick :)

Just to clearify - Phone System Standard is the same or compatible with Microsoft Teams Phone Standard.

Trying to get all my ducks in a row before setting off and this is the last part I need to get a handle on ...

... $8 pr. user pr. month - that'll add up rather quickly for a "nice to have" feature :-/

Yes it's the same thing. Phone System only works in Teams anyway.

And yes, 8$/month/user + 3CX can go up quickly. That's why it's usually just for execs or businesses with enough budget to justify that.

It's not a "nice to have". It's a "customer asked for it, otherwise don't even talk about it" lol

Awesome - thanks!

Everybody is talking about how they are getting dependent on Teams, and I *think* more and more of our clients will be looking into integrating more with and skipping legacy applications - phones included, but it certainly comes at a price.

... well ... that was easy.

Got the first 2 test users up and running without any issues related to 3cx.

The added latency on calls is annoying, but until Microsoft establishes a datacenter in Greenland or someone increases the speed of light that's just the way it is. Neither of which is very likely to happen :)
